The Customer Quality Engineer position is required to work with both customer and internal teams from NPI (new product introduction) to high volume mass production. CQE will act as the primary quality interface with the customer and all other functional teams in Garrett – serving as the customer’s advocate in driving resolution of issues and continuous improvement. The ability to drive multifunctional teams to achieve quality KPI requirements will be the key to success for this position. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, on technical subject matter are required. This position will represent the Garrett manufacturing site and the Quality department in direct interactions with customers at senior/executive levels.
Experiencia y requisitos
• Must have experience and competency to work on a peer level with customer personnel. • Lead 8D teams and works with cross functions as needed for timely and effective issue resolution. • Track & report key customer quality metrics (e.g. PPM, 8D/CAR response) keeping internal data aligned with the customer’s view. • Obtains customer approvals (i.e. homologation, process changes/upgrades) as required for changes to products, processes and/or suppliers. • Communicate, document and assure that all customer specific requirements are deployed in the organization. • 3+ Years Experience in Custumer Quality
