A Buyer Planner is responsible for the planning and purchasing of raw material supporting production of high mix, high volume finished good items This position will ensure on time delivery at competitive pricing while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximize turns, using standard po’s, JIT, Kan Ban, VMI or CVMI process, this position will report directly to Purchasing Manager. Your day to day: • Analyze messages from and MRP system and place orders in a timely manner. • Data maintenance for raw material parameters. • Manage suppliers to control inventories and ensure timely flow of material keeping right inventory levels and execute action messages from ERP to pull in, push out, cancel orders due to production plan variation. • Monitor and report key performance metrics, including past due po’s, receiving discrepancies, Invoice’s discrepancies, MRB inventory and supplier performance. • Manage inventories to ensure continuous production while maximizing turns. • Develop thorough working knowledge of assigned commodities and associated supplier base.

Experiencia y requisitos

What you bring to the team: • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration / Engineering. • English 95%. • +7 years in planning and procurement. • Extensive knowledge of purchasing process. • Strong knowledge in Supply Chain roles and responsibilities. • Strong Communication skills • Problem solving skills. • Results Oriented and critical thinking. • Lean manufacturing knowledge. • APICS Certification desirable. Computational Level: • Knowledge of ERP (or similar system). • MS Office and MS Project or similar tools. • Oracle EBS. Poly is an equal opportunity employer.
