Descripción y detalle de las actividades

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES  Develop production plan, with timelines according to production specifications.  Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.  Plan workflow and schedules for production departments.  Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.  Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.  Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.  Notify internal areas on any delays.  Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.  Assist in new product development and enhancements.  Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules.  Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.  Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.  Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to executive management promptly.  Leads production and kick off daily meetings.  Analyze and prepare documents needed for production (Weekly General Schedules, Milling, Finishing and Samples Weekly Plan, among others).  Develop, change and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP).  Contributes to the achievement of all KPIs in the business unit.  Present reduction cost projects that impact on time delivery metric.  In charge of employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities, within the Planning area.  Provide support as requested from Operations, Purchasing, Import-Export, Project Managers, Quality, Human Resources, Lily Jack staff, etc.  May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency.

Experiencia y requisitos

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS  Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.  Advanced oral and written English level.  Expert within MRP / ERP systems.  Strong experience in project management and problem-solving skill.  Expert in the supply planning.  Significant experience in materials management  5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Furniture industry as a plus.
