As a Trade Compliance Analyst you will support and maintain an Import Compliance Program for Mexico, Canada and the US to ensure Poly’s compliance. Apply the interpretation and application of local customs laws and regulations, develop standardized compliance process, programs and policy with global applications. Develop and write procedures to properly document current processes and update as customs regulations change. Position should create structure for international activity, ensure consistency, streamline procedures, demonstrate management’s commitment, and reduce the risk of noncompliance. Your day to day: • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of compliance data elements and updating ERP system records. • Respond to brokers/freight forwarders inquiries supporting our current SOPs globally. Help facilitate and expedite shipments through customs when there are delays. • Support regional requests communicated though compliance email alias. • Work with internal teams to support and provide guidance on new product introductions as it applies to import compliance. Assist in any regulatory requirements as it relates to international trade. • At times work with outside legal, OEM, Distributors, Partners and international customers on trade compliance issues and requirements. Review contracts and provide feedback as needed. • Responsible for development of HS classifications and country of origin analysis. • Help with the regional import valuation processes per internal procedures. • Conduct periodic internal procedural reviews and audits.
Experiencia y requisitos
What you bring to the team: • BA/BS desired. • 90% English. • Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in import/export compliance programs. • Excellent organizational, record keeping, communication and written skills. • Experience in logistics management and or risk management desirable. • Experience leading and managing highly visible projects. • Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office application tools. • Certified in the WTC (World Trade Center) program. “International Trade Certificate”.
